Infographic – What is Crispr?

Crispr explainer

(CB Insights)

9 Feb. 2019. One hot topic we’ve covered almost from the beginning at Science & Enterprise is Crispr — clustered, regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats — a genome editing technique derived from bacterial defense systems. Our first story about the technique dates back to August 2013, but we were also among the early chroniclers of financing for start-up companies commercializing Crispr like Editas Medicine and Crispr Therapeutics, now in full swing developing treatments and licensing their technologies.

Even as Crispr has gained commercial traction and public attention, there’s still a need for a good illustrated introduction to the technique, which or friends at CB Insights published on Thursday, our infographic for this weekend. The chart is part of a larger report on the state of Crispr technology and its applications. Listed below are links to some of our recent stories on Crispr.
