Which Desk Setup Is Best For A Developer?

– Contributed content –

23 Nov. 2020. If you’re a developer, you’ll know only too well what it’s like to spend hours in front of your computer agonizing over an error in your code. When you spend long hours at your computer desk, it can have many negative impacts on your health such as stress, back discomfort and headaches.

Ensuring you’re as comfortable as possible when working is imperative, and will help you produce finer results when coding. We’ve got a useful infographic for you below detailing which desk setup is best for developers, but here are some other ideas to help you along the way:

  • Brighten up the space around you! Working in a dull and dingy room will affect your mood and most importantly, won’t provide any inspiration! Ensure your room is well lit and fresh to promote a healthy working environment.
  • Control the temperature of the room. As someone that works on their computer all day, you’ll know how quickly your hands and feet can get cold. Make sure the room is warm, but not so warm that you’ll feel sleepy.
  • Avoid distractions. Writing code needs lots of concentration, and distractions won’t do you any good! Turn off the TV and close the door to your office for better concentration.

With these tips and this infographic below, you’ll find writing code a much nicer experience.
